We we’re contact by Impressed laundry who have been Manchester's leading laundry service offering dependable, on-time, competitively priced laundry, ironing and dry cleaning services to businesses in the greater Manchester area since 2000. 

Based in Tyldesley, they are a small company with big-time solutions. With over 10 years of experience, they have perfected their laundry processes to provide outstanding cleaning while extending textile life. Resulting in a reputation for excellence and a history of proven results. 

They understand the pressures of today's businesses and have carefully crafted a service that means you will never need to even think about laundry again. However, the packaging side of the business seen through growth, came under pressure, and thus, the company needed to re-think how it’s product was wrapped and shipped to the customer. Their current method of a polythene bag and sellotape just wouldn’t cut the mustard.

Project Specifications:

Impressed Laundry supply businesses throughout the northwest, currently ranging from small restaurants to medium/large hotels, or boutique B&B’s, who require various packs that would include, for example, a table cloth and four or 8 napkins, or a sheet and pillowcase pack, all of which need to remain clean and dust free in transit.

Their current method was time consuming, not cost effective, and didn’t arrive as it should in pristine condition. The obvious solution in the case of Impressed Laundry was a shrink-wrapping machine.

Project Comment:

As advised by our engineers, the solution we provided that would wrap the smallest pack size and larger pack sizes would be an 8060 chamber machine wrapping PVC film which is tough and durable and has a clean look and feel once shrunk. We installed the machine, and provided on the job training, and the results were immediately apparent.  The solution provided speed and efficiency and ease of use for the end user. In addition, the cost savings we significant due to little waste, an improved output for the same manpower/costs.
